 Kriterion. Your team kicked that off from the very first ball they bowled. Is there any common language that both teams understand, I’d have thought sledging each other would have not been easy? Obviously there’s some common words everyone understands like Coca Cola and Fuck You but the rest must have been lost in translation.
I was rooting for your team all the way but that wasn’t good. Winning AND wanting to throw handbags is being greedy.
India have some incredible record like that’s only the second game they’ve lost in the last 3 or 4 world cups? Amazing.
Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi all have enough similarities for the kids to sledge each other and understand each other perfectly. Thats not even accounting for the fact that almost all of the swear words are identical between all 4 languages.

And Bangladeshi cricketers almost always communicate with Indian and Pakistani ones in Urdu-Hindi as they are more widely understood languages.

Googly check this video from the 2018 Asia Cup. Mashrafee, Sarfraz, and Rohit are speaking in Hindi-Urdu...Mathews and Asghar are left out, although Asghar probably understands from his time in PAK. Also, while Sinhalese is in the same language family as Bengali-Urdu-Hindi-Punjabi its lexicon is far different and hence Matthews probably had no clue what was going on.

You can clearly see at least one or two Bangladeshi players run straight towards the Indians

No body likes to have a loss like that rubbed in their faces, poor form and puts a slight dampener on a great day for the Bangas
Yeah that is definitely not on, but I have a hard time thinking the BD players did this unprovoked. Something must have set them off. It might have been a matter of fact comment from an Indian player that he thought was harmless but was interpreted as condescending by a BD player(s).

That's the Bangladeshi in you speaking mate, there is no concrete evidence to who instigated the incident. Atleast Akbar Ali apologised for his players.

Absolutely. I just started following the match thread on ICF. Looks like this is the sequence of events:

http://www.indiancricketfans.com/forums ... -wc-final/

1) Bangladesh lads gave zero fucks about the reputation of the team they were facing and both Shoriful and Tanzim sledged the Indian openers Jaiswal and Saxena.

2) Indian players must have dished it back out in the 2nd innings once Bangladesh started collapsing from 50-0 to 65-4. The leggie Bishnoi had a lot of fire and so did the pacer Tyagi judging from their celebrations.

3) It must have continued to the point where a few BD players charged at the Indians after the game ended.

4) Couple Indian players seemed to be desecrating a BD flag as a result.

1 and 2 are fine, as long as you don't go overboard. Remember there is a pretty intense rivalry between these sides given India beat BD by 5 runs in the Asia Cup final just 4-5 months ago. 3 is going overboard and 4 is downright pitiful. Secondly, while BD Captain Akbar was apologetic about the incident, the Indian captain referred to the situation as "dirty".
