Youths should be prefered in Shorter formats, but the problem is Zimbabwe has given shorter format leadership to someone who himself is not only a non performing player but also his participation in Playing XI is a big question.
This is probably last odi series before Zimbabwe enters into the ICC Odi League Format, where the team needs to finish among top 8 to avoid qualifiers for the participation in the next 50 Over World Cup 2023 to be held in India.Developing T20 team is also there as Zimbabwe is already participating in ICC Global T20 Qualifiers in 2021 to participate in 2021 T20 World Cup In India.
Two ICC events in span of 2 years is huge opportunity for Zimbabwe. Few of the under 19 players looks ready for international cricket, lack of Zimbabwe A set up and franchises not interested in pursuing them is hurting their scope for Zimbabwe

That’s the problem- it’s a jump from U19 to our very ordinary FC. There’s every chance one or two of them will get the nod to go to Bangladesh, leapfrogging FC. The odds of being successful? Pretty low.
If they make the plate final or win it there will be a frenzy of enthusiasm from the muppets. If they fail they’ll be forgotten. ZC would really love to see a world class young cricketer with zero input and then claim it.

Luke Jongwe & Neville Madziva name should be there for selection. Faraz Akram & W Mashinge should also be considered.
12 matches 25 wickets for Faraz Akram, who can also bat at the lower order can be a valuable addition.

Faraz Akram, Jongwe, Mashinge, Madziva are better performer then Tiripano, who have always been below average as far international cricket is considered. His batting neither can provide a tons or bowling which is venomless.Stoneman Returns wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:18 amLuke Jongwe & Neville Madziva name should be there for selection. Jongwe was in good shape with bat & bowl, and has pace, before he was dropped and later ignored by Ntini & Co. due to non cricketing reasons.
