If we’d gone with a different batting line up we wouldn’t be in the plate.

Isn't Bawa 16? Thats incredible. I think he will get more composed as he gets older

ZC should look to retain almost all these guys. Bar the non bowling and batting already with a rich daddy. They won’t, but perhaps they can retain 4.

The aim needs to be to get them in next seasons Logan cup, and play a few low key affiliates in the top team. Rest someone like Raza on an upcoming UAE tour or something.

See who rises to the top to get them in the first team permanently by 18 months. The rest can be viewed to replace the older guard after the next WC campaign.

We (still) need openers, a quick, all rounders and spinners, and depth.

I can’t wax lyrical enuf about Bawa. I’ve seen this kid (he’s actually a brute) play some back foot punches and drives on the up with technical perfection. That’s what you need to get into good bowling. If you don’t have that in your arsenal you’re either waiting for a bad delivery or you’re going across the line or just hitting and hoping. He’s got a few shots that just put him right out there. When you get to the higher levels where you’re facing better bowling if you don’t have this X factor you’re a plodder. Mark my words, Bawa has what it takes to play international cricket. He’s one of the few that can change gear against good bowling without too much risk. He’s just a damned good player. Between him and Schardendorf we’ve got the two best no 8 batsmen in the WC.
