This is an appreciation thread to celebrate the Prince of Zimbabwe cricket Aka Prince Masvaure. The Prince has found his Princess in two good knocks as an opener. This is very new for Zimbabwe cricket , we have not had the pleasure of enjoying an Good opener.
Please be Kind to the Fresh Prince.
THE FRESH PRINCE OF ZIMBABWE
Re: THE FRESH PRINCE OF ZIMBABWE
Prince has been hanging in the fringes for the longest time. And mostly it was because of his weight and not his ability. I remember there was one coach who told him out right to give fit first before he could be considered for national duty.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
Re: THE FRESH PRINCE OF ZIMBABWE
Fitness is a little overrated as a batsman, I was looking at Finch last night, he’s a bit porky as well. Some of these senior guys don’t get too involved in fitness. They can make you batting fit, can’t they? Make the guy run some singles and twos in the nets every third or fourth ball.
The excuse is you need to be able to be fit to concentrate for long periods, it’s only part of the story though.

He got out just after getting 50....again. That’s what twice in almost a row?

Re: THE FRESH PRINCE OF ZIMBABWE
I think you are right about our batsman playing for fifty, according to them a fifty is a hundred.

He was extremely lucky to get to 50. I think he offered Nayeem 4-5 chances that weren't taken. Was a bit more comfortable against the seamers, but couldn't put loose deliveries away.
