The fact is Madhevere would have gotten a lot more exposure playing Zim A against Derbyshire and Durham on decks that he’s more familiar with. That’s on the one hand , I think this Derbyshire attack will be a lot more potent than the Bangladeshi one.
I’m happy that he’s getting a call up, let’s see where he bats, if he even bats. He might just warm the bench, you just never know what Givemore will be thinking on match day.
Bangladesh’s attack in BD conditions is one of the best, statistically speaking.

The Madheveres, and Shumbas rarely crossed 50 at the U19 World Cup even against Scotland and Canada. I think Bawa had the lone century.

Just found out the qualifiers for the 2021 T20 World Cup (two in two years apparently) could only be a year away, so it's good they have made this decision now. With Zimbabwe's schedule, a year isn't many games and they need to know who their limited overs options are pretty soon.

Its a wonderful opportunity for Wesley to rub shoulders with greats of the game such as Taylor Williams and ervine and to get some good advice and inspiration from them. Remember we did not have this in 2004 when the youngsters were all thrown in at the same time.
Raza can also help young wes as both are off spinners

Torn whether he should open or down the order, the problem is if he doesn’t open he probably won’t come in till 7 or 8, which means he’ll either come in and have to slog straight away or come in at 55/5

Almost feel 3 would be perfect, but will Ervine, BT, Williams & Raza all drop down one spot ?

Madhevere should bat in the position where he made his name as a performer thats opening the batting, and should be given many chances like given to those failures who played more then they deserved but haven't performed.

Yea, open up with him. He's oozing confidence right now, give him free reign. He's just a kid at the end of the day, he's going to inevitably fail at some stage. I'm just really happy that he's been picked. Just a shame some of the other young lads like Bawa and Shumba couldn't have been incorporated somewhere along the way

Speaks very well. Would it be fair to say that this guy's one of the most talented black players we've produced over the past 16 years?

Hopefully he does not look up to Prosper in terms of his mannerism.

Also, who was the guy at 1:20 bowling? Very Shaun Tait like action and looks to have some speed.

Dylan Grant
Seemed to have some genuine speed. Can't remember if he actually played any games in the tournament or if we saw anything of him.

I was also watching some of the training methods. Some of them seemed very odd, like using the speed arm for catching practice. Does not give an accurate in game feel for that type of catching. Surely you'd want to see the ball come off the bat.
