Sadly we’re not going to see young Melton running in for Derbyshire, I was looking forward to that, he’s quick!
He’s done his ankle and needs an op and is now facing problems with eligibility at the end of the season because of Brexit. It’s going to have big repercussions next season for a number of players.
Who’s Melton
Should come back and play for Zim if Brexit ends his county career.
I’ve tested the waters, anyone with a glimmer of hope elsewhere will explore that option first. I don’t think he was even raised here. It’s a pity, he’s a bloody sharp bowler, bowls high 130’s/low 140’s consistently.

Ned Eckersley played here for Mountaineers way back when.

What's happened to Durham? They had a pretty strong team ten years ago with good local talent, the Riverside got Test status, and they looked all set for a bright future.
