Good pick, I was seriously contemplating McCullum last round, but it felt a tad high to pick him second.
Yeah he’s a legend; still feels a bit high but I doubt I’d get another crack at him if I chanced it.
No, you wouldn't have.

Damnit Jaybro, Baz was mine. He's effectively a Brisbanite. We have already signed a contract for him to take over as batting coach next season.

I thought he would not go this early, so was happy to leave him for round 3/4

So far only eugene and jaybro have named their captains. If I missed anyone please let me know.

You can always edit your player roles and captain/WK designees until your final squad submission 24 hours after the draft ends.

I know I'm late out of the blocks to pick a frontline batsman, but here we go. I heard this little fellow was a useful player in his days which just about lasted into 2012:

Sachin Tendulkar
1) AB de Villiers (zimbos_05)
2) Virat Kohli (grant)
3) Kumar Sangakkara (jaybro)
4) Steve Smith (brmtaylor.com admin)
5) Chris Gayle (Mueddie28)
6) Shakib al Hasan (foreignfield)
7) Kane Williamson (eugene)
8) Mushfiqur Rahim (Kriterion_BD)
9) Mitchell Starc (rusty17)

10) Ross Taylor (rusty17)
11) Mustafizur Rahman (Kriterion_BD)
12) Trent Boult (eugene)
13) Shane Bond (foreignfield)
14) Joe Root (Mueddie28)
15) MS Dhoni (brmtaylor..com.admin)
16) Dale Steyn (jaybro)
17) Jos Buttler (grant)
18) Jasprit Bumrah (zimbos_05)

19) Hashim Amla (zimbos_05)
20) Rashid Khan (grant)
21) Brendan McCullum (jaybro)
22) Mitchell Johnson (brmtaylor.com admin)
23) Ben Stokes (Mueddie28)
24) Sachin Tendulkar (foreignfield)

McCullum has a great strike rate, but his average is poor for this era.

I haven’t looked once at your links for the stats tbh; I’m picking my side on good players I liked to watch

Most of us are picking players we like rather than the averages. Thats the way it should be. The averages is just to sort out which team is [statistically] the best.
