[Simulation 1]: Draft 2 | World ODI Teams (2010-present)
Re: [Simulation 1]: Draft 2 | World ODI Teams (2010-present)
I am guessing rain has delayed the semis?

There is one small difference though, these points you mentioned were discussed here, you mentioned you are considering them and changed the rules in a transparent way. For the decision of considering the pre-2010 innings, that wasn't the case. This point by me was for argument's sake. I am no one to complain if the team owners are playing alongKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 3:03 amInitially there was no simulation. That only came about because Jaybro made the valid point that picking on pure stats is somewhat meaningless. Eugene has proved that true. His was the #7/8 side on stats, but he's made the top 4.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:53 am
That's crazy! People would have picked their sides differently if this was going to be the criteria. Having said that, I hope you stick to that. Gives foreignfield a chance against eugene.
But can't believe how that side by Grant could lose though...
Initiallly, only 1 innings was to be used for the simulation, but I think eugene suggested to taking any random innings.
I had also initially mulled taking only the innings from the position in which that player was selected, but not only would that be painstaking on my part, but also ruin the fun of picking an all-star XI.
At any rate, this entire thing is all experimental. We are seeing what sticks right now.

This game might be rigged...jacob Oram can not sniff into my squad in really life ....jaybro wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:13 amI guess picking 5 openers wasn’t so smart after all ?Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 5:19 am#2 foreignfield

#7 mueddie28
foreignfield (3.682) beats mueddie28 (2.739) by 0.943 points
Foreignfield cruised to a first round victory over mueddie on the backs of big knocks from Mohammad Hafeez and Shakib al Hasan. Jacob Oram also provided solid batting down the order to give him a very strong total. Oram was also the pick of the bowlers, with 5 wickets from his two innings conceding less than 4.3 an over. Fellow Kiwi, Shane Bond picked up 4 wickets and bowled economically as well.
Mueddie had decent contributions from all of his top order, particularly Ben Stokes and Quinton de Kock. Tendai Chatara and Mujeeb ur Rahman were the pick of this bowling attack, but he managed just 6 wickets from his attack compared to 15 for foreignfield's.

Nope. Just days off before the business end of the tourney. 3 games to go before a champion is crowned.

Just a technicality: I don't mind playing eugene, but shouldn't I be playing rusty--#2 vs #3--while eugene (having knocked out the top seed) faces the fourth seed?Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:23 amSemi-final matchups:

Yes Foreignfield is correct
Although in America the ‘draw’ changes and it’s all about which seeds are still alive in that particular round
Like in the NFL

Ah, I didn't know Americans do it differently, but that would explain it.
All very quiet in camp rusty17 and brmtaylor.com.

I'm following an NBA style draw where its pre-designed so that the top 2 seeds are most likely to be in the final. At least I think thtas how it goes in the NBA playofffs. I'm not sure how the NFL playoffs work not having followed in years.foreignfield wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 6:07 amJust a technicality: I don't mind playing eugene, but shouldn't I be playing rusty--#2 vs #3--while eugene (having knocked out the top seed) faces the fourth seed?Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:23 amSemi-final matchups:
