If Kriterion doesn't mind I could run my model with one random innings post 2010.

brmtaylor.com got off to a great start with a brilliant century by his namesake, and despite a bit of a wobble with Finch falling for 20 and a duck for Kallis, solid batting by Smith & Clarke got him to a competitive total. Starc and Philander were the pick of rusty17s bowlers, while Morkel and Narine were largely ineffective.

brmtaylor.com 232 all out (50 overs)

Code: Select all

Batting Card Bowling
BT	106 runs off 133 balls Morkel 1/63 -- 10 -- 6.3
Finch	20/19 Mathews 0/4 -- 1 -- 4.0
Kallis	0/3 Starc 2/18 -- 6 -- 3.0
Smith	44/54 Philander	4/45 -- 10 -- 4.5
Clarke	58/76 Narine 0/55 -- 9 -- 6.11
Wes	14/15 (= 185/36 = RR 5.14, wickets adjusted to 50 overs: 10 -- deduction for wickets: -0.7 = 4.44
(batting score: 242) bowling score: 222)

This match is again going to the wire, on the batting front rusty17 is currently only one run behind brmtaylor.com ... Let's see what Johnson, Cummins and co. can do.

...

brmtaylor.com's bowlers destroy rusty17's batting, all the bowlers chipping in, taking 12 for 180 in under 40 overs and a thumping win in the end.

brmtaylor.com 232 beats rusty17 182 all out by 50 runs

Code: Select all

Batting Bowling
Hope 96/121 Kallis 2/17 -- 5 -- 3.4
Tamim 44/62 Jadeja 3/39 -- 10 -- 3.9
Rahul 77/92 Johnson 1/55 -- 10 -- 5.5
R.Taylor	24*/25 Cummins 4/56 -- 8.3 -- 6.58
				Hazlewood	2/13 -- 6.1 -- 2.1
(batting score: 241) (bowling score: 180/39.67 = 4.54; wickets adj. to 50 overs: 15, deduction (-2.1) = 2.44 = 122)
*Ross Taylor's random innings was in fact a century at almost a run a ball, but his top three only left him 25 balls to face.

[Both bowling scores edited because I initially forgot to adjust the number of wickets taken to the full 50 overs]

I'm maybe a bit generous to the bowlers with my deductions to the RR conceded for wickets > 5; but if a bowling unit takes 15 wickets (projected) over 50 overs there's not much stopping them in real life cricket as well, I guess.

Clearly ZC are organising this tournament. Nobody including the players know when the next match is being played and the points system changes frequently.
So, looks like the SRC took over and got the second semifinal done with, while ZC was sleeping. Now the only part that generates curiosity is whether the "powers that be" approve this move. Unlike the case of ICC, here the "powers that be" benefits by approving this move as it puts their team in the final! :)

Go ahead.

I’ll try and do the final 2 games. Maybe a 3rd place playoff too.

The grand final is:

Team Oz (brmtaylor.com) vs Team Creaking Legs (foreignfield)

3rd place: eugene vs rusty17
