Nicholson to play for the Rhinos

Two more parts of the jigsaw for Zimbabwe cricket. The return of a promising fast bowler and a genuine allrounder which will add depth to the domestic game.

I doubt either have the ability to play internationally but they will be great additions to the domestic scene.

Well for once i disagree with you Eugene. I've persona;;y whatched Ian Nicholson bowl in Glamorgan a year or so ago, and of what i saw i was very impressed. He way over the 83Mph barrier, possibly touching 88 clicks the coach said ! And he hit 5 big sixes in one over.
Staddon I haven't seen play, nor do I know much about. However he did play for Zimbabwe A' along side Graeme Cremer against a touring Pakistan side in 2008. He scored a "very stylish 48*" according to the cricinfo commentary.

if nicolson can bowl 88 clicks and get his accuracy rite then why couldnt he play international cricket ? 88 clicks is genuinely quick and would be a dangerous new ball threat . I have heard of Bradley Staddon but i am not sure what hes like as a player , i looked at his stats seems nothing special but he did play for the A team so must have ability , anyone know much about him ?

I am of course happy for either player to prove me wrong, particularly Ian Nicholson. My understanding of him as a player was that he had pace but struggled with control.

Fair enough, but with the likes Of Streak and co now around the set up, he can only improve as a fast bowler. Look at Chris Mpofu for example. Streak worked hard with him, both on the physical side and the mental side. Now he's primed to be one of our best and probably quickest bowler.

While Tuskers did not do so well in the ended domestic competitions we still have hope that they will do well this time around.However they should not look up to Bulawayo only when it comes to player base,it has satellite stations that are booming with talent Matabeleland North for instance.What became of Paul Kasonde,Dennis Gunda,Washington Kuripa to mention but a few.Watch this page for a broad update of Tuskers As An Organisation.
