Certainly a good average boost for Chigumbura. It's also promising to see Tichana (one of the 2006 Mashonaland squad members) get runs on the board. Likewise, I'm glad Freedom Takarusenga has been selected for Westerns. Why he was selected for the second eleven defied logic.

Northerns won by an innings in their game. Brent and price the chief destroyers!!! :D

It would have been nice to see Nglube get another hundred mind but he was out early in the morning!!. The way i see it the more zimbabwe domestic players get used to playing long innings and converting 50's into the hundreds the better it will be for the overall pool of talent

Ngulube looks a good prospect. A hundred in the first game, now fifty against what is almost the national attack (Chigumbura, Brent, Price & Cremer).

Northerns 417/6 decl (Chigumbura 186, Mpofu 3/73)

...and the unofficial ZCN table looks like this:

Code: Select all

1 Northerns 2 2 - - - 1 - 9
2 Easterns 2 1 1 - - 1 - 5
3 Centrals 1 1 - - - - - 4
4 Southerns 1 - 1 - - - - 0
