In the thread on our great performance in the game against Ireland a poster made a homophobic comment about one of our players making the accusation that he engaged in sexual relations with the selectors to get picked for the game.

I do not want to go into his respective merits or otherwise.

I want to appeal to you as mods to clamp down on this, it would not be acceptable to target the player for his race or age so why use sexuality. That is not acceptable and you need to clamp down on it.

A few points in response to this.

a) The posts referred to were deleted quite some time ago, as soon as I became aware of them.

b) I will get around to dealing with such problems a lot more quickly if people used the "report post" button (the little exclamation mark in a triangle at the top-right of every post) - I get an email when that's used & know there's a problem, otherwise you have to wait until next time I visit the boards. Believe it or not, I'm not online 24/7.

c) If you absolutely must raise issues with a post other than by using the report button, do it by private message - I do not consider moderation issues to be for public discussion.
