If Coventry doesnt score big against Ireland in the last ODI I would give forster Mutizwa an extended run against south africa in the ODI Series. Ok not the best place to start but players need to be tested against the best. Forster has been consistently scoring well for his franchise both in 4 day and ODI Matches. I think he can do a job at number 6

I agree. I am not sure what Mutizwa has done to not get a decent run in the side.
I would prefer a fully fit Greg Lamb but Mutizwa deserves a crack.

Forster Mutizwa is a very good player and I bet he would do well in South Africa. Especially with the fact that we are looking for players to carry the Zim Flag at the next World Cup. We really need to exhaust all the reasources we have.

Yep I also don't think he has the temprement for ODI maybe 20/20 I think Tino Mawoyo should be considered as well.

Mutizwa simply must be the number one on the list for promotion to the ODI squad, with this series now won he should really be given a spot in the 3rd ODI line-up

Coventry has the temperament for a Five5 game I think. Even T20 is too long for him.

I think its also a good idea to have Tino Mawoyo also getting a chance but i guess the batting line up is sorted its juss a matter of all the batsmen being in top form . We have a very strong top 7 . On any good day we can take any side in the world .

Lol. Eugene! Finally some sarcasm thats not directed at Matsikenyeri.
But seriously if Williams could gatecrash the party, why not Mtizwa. This is the right kind if series for him. At home, against equal opposition.
If he gets 30 plus then play him against South Africa, at 6. I forsee him a future number three. I don't know enough about his techinique (zimfan once reffered to him as iffy), but that strike rate -- 96 in nine one day internationals
http://www.cricinfo.com/zimbabwe/conten ... 55641.html -- speaks of pedigree even though it was against Kenya. Masakadza doesn't manage that against the same oposition

Surprisingly for Eugene this one is pretty comical as well.
