Zimbabwe v Ireland: 3rd ODI
Harare Sports Club, 30 September 2010

Wunderground Weather sticker

Zimbabwe: Elton Chigumbura (capt), Graeme Cremer, Chamu Chibhabha, Charles Coventry, Craig Ervine, Greg Lamb, Hamilton Masakadza, Shingi Masakadza, Chris Mpofu, Ray Price, Ed Rainsford, Vusi Sibanda, Tatenda Taibu, Brendan Taylor, Prosper Utseya

Ireland: William Porterfield (captain), Andre Botha, George Dockrell, Allan Eastwood (Pembroke), Trent Johnston, Nigel Jones, John Mooney, Kevin O'Brien, Niall O'Brien (wkt), Andrew Poynter, Paul Stirling, Albert Van De Merwe, Andrew White, Gary Wilson (wkt).

Zimbabwe have the series already tied up, although not without a few frayed nerves along the way, but this match essentially decides the position of the sides in the ODI rankings after the series: winner will retain 10th spot, loser ends in 11th. Plenty to play for, then.

hammy mazakadza needs runs and the middle order needs to knuckle down and not rely on the number 7,8 and 9s to do the work for us. the lineup should stay tthe same but i would drop coventry for mutizwa or lamb and move chigumbura up to 6 seeing as he is in red hot form.the pace attack is solid but chigumbura needs to get some overs under his belt and confidence high because he is a great wicket taking option. cumon boys make us proud

Zimbabwe win toss and will field.

Ireland are unchanged. For Zim, Coventry & Mpofu are out, Shingi Masakadza and Ian Nicolson (ODI debut) are in.

The national anthems will be played before the start today - Ireland's Call has been identified on the tape recorder
Since when did they play national anthems at cricket matches?!

(Ireland's Call is a neutral sporting anthem used by combined Ireland teams - since playing both the Soldier's Song and God Save the Queen would lead to riots 'round these parts. Most often heard at rugby union internationals.)

Great change, I was espcially keen on seeing how the younger Masakadza fares. So Ian Nicholson gatechashes the party. There must be something there for him to make it after only one domestic appearance
