Excited to see some cricket back. Also the ICC Super League matches which give ODIs context now. Every game will matter for Zimbabwe.

Good to see some forum favorites back like Jongwe and Chisoro.

I don’t think Chigumbura will make the final squad, but then again you never know. Good to see everyone is fit.

Chibhabha (c)
Raza

Madhevere
Ervine
Moor / Mutumbami (wk)
Burl
Jarvis
Mumba
Chatara

This eleven might give us a chance, but we would need everyone to play well at the same time. ;)

Nothing about this squad surprised me. The usual candidates get a shot. Hard to get excited about Regis and Elton these days.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Eddie Byrom has just scored his first county ton.

Doesn’t half piss me off when I think that Welch and Byrom are now in county cricket (and succeeding) yet we still select Maruma.

Regis in limited overs cricket is lol.
What's he ever done in that format? I can't think of one great innings. Not one.

Ryan must come into the limited Overs team.
If Regis fails in the next test series he needs to be replaced in test too.
If he does well, he can bat on.

But these scores that follow his career like clockwork;
17,1
3,64*
That's not good enough

What is this about 32 players making the trip? That’s literally every decent player we have  if that’s the case then I honestly don’t mind Elton getting a go in the T20s . That’s a specialist format.

For now. At the moment the world’s all sunshine and rainbows for Byrom. I hope it continues but if he was to ever fall flat from county cricket he has Zimbabwe Cricket to fall back on.
