Harare Kings win toss and elect to bat first against Great Zimbabwe
Gladiators win toss, elect to bat first against Rainbow

I was at the Gladiators-Rainbows match - very poor batting by Gladiators, just wild indiscriminate hitting for the most part, no attempt by the top order to build an innings. Rainbows always had the match in hand, much more sensible batting, though a middle-order slump narrowed the victory margin.

Is there any unknown players that could stand up?
If only googly hadn’t been out of action with Covid we might have an insight!

There is a young kid called Saxon Pettican in the Queens squad. I don’t think he could be older than 16. Will be interesting to see how he goes. This is what it’s all about. Giving kids a chance to play some real cricket.

That's the best name I've heard on here since Silent Mujaji!

Yeah I saw that name, reminds me of a West Indian name like Nixon McLean. Parents are wiggas maybe.

Little redhead kid. Hope he does well.

That's what I like about this format. You can give kids a go or take genuine risks and experiments.

I've always said we should restrict First class to a certain amount of teams for quality control and open up the club scene.
