I know that sometimes getting information that is anything other than hearsay is difficult but I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about...
* Dion Ebrahim - wasn't he meant to be signing for the Eagles?
* Glen Querl - I thought he had signed for a province.
* Greg Strydom - Has not signed his contract, does anyone know why?
Also what about the foreign players...
Compton, Shreck, Greg Smith - should they not be playing by now or were they 20/20 only?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

and Greg Strydom has decided to quit cricket.Had a chat with him on fb,he said he will think abt playing 20/20,otherwise i dont think we will see him play again.
It is important to stand up for what is right.

Ebrahim if off to play in NZ
Re: The whereabouts of...
I'm surprised that the Tuskers didn't keep hold of Ebrahim and Strydom. Ebrahim in particular was a very consistent performer for them last season, whilst Strydom captained for long periods. Surely another franchise would have wanted Ebrahim...

Re: The whereabouts of...
You can add Dylan Higgins, Dougie Marrilliar and Ryan Ervine and Matthews Williams to that lost of players.....
Re: The whereabouts of...
Ryan Ervine is still in the Rocks squad as far as I know, but wasn't a regular last year, and their side is stronger this season. I think Matt Williams was probably released by the Tuskers, as he wasn't really anywhere near the first team, and didn't really pull up any trees in their second team either. Dougie Marillier was only signed by the Eagles for the T20, so was never likely to be around full time. Dylan Higgins is a good question, I've no idea. He might have gone to Uni outside the country...sloandog wrote:You can add Dylan Higgins, Dougie Marrilliar and Ryan Ervine and Matthews Williams to that lost of players.....

Re: The whereabouts of...
I think the toughest thing for Zimbabwe cricket now is to keep good quality domestic players (i.e. those not of international standard but still good cricketers). The lure of international cricket and decent money should be enough to keep the likes Sean Williams, Brendan Taylor, and others around, but for those not of international standard it is going to be more difficult to stay. Even though the franchise system has improved the money situation, Zimbabwe is still a tough place to live with limited education and work possibilities. It is understandable that many young cricketers would rather play and live in England, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa.

Re: The whereabouts of...
Yes good point Eugene, but somebody like Dylan Higgins had the potential to be a very good leg spinning allrounder for the future. If he has gone and left Zimbabwean Cricket, it'll be a shame
