Am I correct in thinking that todays result will not go down as a ODI victory in the history books and instead will be recorded as a tied match? The Super Over is only for the purpose of allocating the 10 points. Hoping to be correct here!
ICC saying this is a win. Can't share the screesshot.

I think it will count as win not tie.

Nice win.

Nothing extra to be said that hasn't already. Certain players need to go, and certain players need to come in. Whether that will happen is a completely different story or whether ZC will continue to mess things up is only to be seen.

I like this league system where everyone plays each other. Will spread the talent a bit when players don't seek green pastures and other players will actually try and qualify for smaller nations.

As for Chisoro.
I don't get why everyone loves him so much here.
Despite today's effort, we have three spinners that pretty much offer the same as him already in our lineup.
We are better off with a pinch hitter or an extra seamer.
Wes/Raza/Sean are more than enough for our finger spinner needs.
If chisoro was Nathan Lyon fair enough but he's the other three without the batting skills.
If they need a front line spinner Mavuta is a good choice bcz he is an leggie and also a good hitter
Agreed, Mavuta is worth investing time in for those times where you need a specialist (especially Tests).
Williams and Raza (IMO) are the best spinners in Zim, but we need to think a few years ahead now - and Chisoro doesn't solve that problem.

I'd like to see a specialist off-spinner brought through the ranks though, leggies can get tonked... so it'd be nice to have a 20yo Utseya-like 0/45 off 10 type bowler we could use in the one-dayers from time to time.

It's going to be interesting to see the T20 side. Is Chamu captain of that as well?
I think they'll open with Shumba and Burl if Chamu doesn't play. If he does then Shumba will probably replace Chisoro.
I dunno, hard to guess what they'll do.
Yeah Chibhabha is captain for that too.

For mine... Burl for Chari, Shumba for Chisoro. Don't know much about this Faraz Akram bloke, but may as well give him a game.
Tiripano was good, but he's the first to make way.
Faraz Akram is a promising all-rounder, very nice guy and I think he has potential.

3 Ervine

Why are they not playing Chatara

Wow a pretty massive win considering the match started with ZIM 22-3. Probably the biggest batting come back by ZIM.

Also secured 10 points which is essential considering Ireland took 10 vs England.

Good review. Blessing had a great day, but in-between the wickets and the good deliveries he bowled some really poor balls.
Even Bumrah or Starc bowls bad balls between wickets. Everytime Chari drove Shaheen for four - its a bad ball, I mean if you're getting hit for 4 by a batsmen like Chari it has to be a bad ball, right?

Blessing bowled probably the best spell (judging from the stats and match situatio) by a ZIM seamer in ODIs since the rebels left in 2004.

It was a roller coaster ride watching the match yesterday. Decided to not follow it at all when it went down to 22/3. Then kept peeking into the scorecard as Williams was still there and then ended up watching the last 5 overs where he got that masterful hundred and forged a nice partnership with Raza. But felt that 278 was not enough given how easily we could score our runs and decided not to follow the chase.

Then saw that we snared two wickets early and soon it became 3! Then they got into partnerships and though Tiripano gave hope a couple of times in between, it looked like another story of what could have been as usual for Zim. So stopped following again. Then I saw Riaz got his 50 and sursed the management and was about to go for a walk when I saw Blessing breaking through. Watched the last 5 overs again! that 49th over by Blessing was so special, after getting hit for 6 in the second ball. But Ngarava serving up half vollies to tailenders was so predictable. And the Chisoro mess!

So, after the tied result, I was certain that we did not have it in us to win a super over and did not watch it, only to come back later to the forums and realize that we have aced it, thanks again to Muzarabani!

Good result overall, but we should have won outright defending 13 in the last over. Possibly Tiripano should have bowled that over instead of Ngarava.

ZIM actually have a really good recent record in Subcontinent in ODIs. 3-2 win vs SL, 1-2 vs a pretty strong PAK side. Certainly doing better away than at home oddly enough.
