Yea that was the Elton of old wasn’t it.
Why not give the bloke complete free range and give him an opening slot for the last two games..?

I'm not sure what would be par for this field, but seems like a decent total.

I don't get why we pick players as T20 specialist but then play them down the bottom of the order. It creates these situations where those players don't get a chance to do the job they are being picked for. It's pointless.

I wish the guys would open the foot up and work the ball, not try to force it. Wahab had no one on the boundary on the on side, but they kept looking to force it big on the off with their shot. Should have taken a step back and freed the arms a bit to go on the on side.

Yeah, not too much to complain about Elty there 21(13) is basically all we ask off him. Class from Wes, 70* phenomenal stuff. Burl, Raza and Chamu disappointing. Shame BT and Sean couldn't kick on.

It's on Chats and Blessing to give us those golden early wickets. 156 is a below par but good bowling could maybe get us over the line.

Think Zim needs Chibhabha to retire more than Chigumbura.

Wes should be opening, he is much better up front than at the back end. He can play through like Smith and Kane Williamson.

The more times i see Madhevere spend time around Williams and Taylor the more settled he seems to appear at the crease becoming less rash, with Burl at the crease he was looking to force it a bit too much and didnt have the experience down the other end to remind him of the basics which had got him into the position he was in in the first place.

70 not out off 48 is a special T20I knock in general. To score that as a 20 year old away from home is incredible! For me, he is the only Zimbo other than Williams that looks like a million dollars when he is out there in the middle. Great game awareness and always looking to contribute. What a guy!

Nice little knock by Chigs. If he was planning on retiring, we should have played him in the ODIs too, would have probably done well in an attempt to go out on a high.

Quite possible that his friends at ZC have already created a post for him like they did for Hamilton.
