..........why should someone who has made Zimbabwe their home not play for Zimbabwe? I'm genuinely interested in why you seem to think that a piece of paper (a Zim passport) is so important. I don't see that it is.
Agree..
totally agree

Its great in the short term that we have all these foreign players playing cricket for our franchises, as it raises the standard and exposes our cricketers to different styles and tactics... However, in the long term it could damage our national team and zimbabwean born players if their places are continually taken up by overseas players... Just look at the English Premier league and the state their national football team has been in as an example of what will happen

In the long run we can limit the foreign contigent, but at present when the squad goes for tours like to Bangladesh this week, we need these foreign players to keep the standards high and expose the young players to good cricket. For the next couple of years at least we need world class players in our domestic competition.

leta bwe honest here this is Zimbabwe.

We are not going to have an influx of imports wanting to play for the national team.

We've lost dozens of players overseas. We are entitled to one of the players out of the millions in pakistan.

Actually not really, we are definately entitled to a few english and South Africans though.

Riki Wessells welcome aboard....

I mention that only as citizenship is mentioned. ICC rules only require residence, and he's certainly got that.
This has not been allowed before for if you do not have a zim passport you cannnot play for zim.so why now? Raza should not be given zim passport as it will
set a precedent. The sport commision must look into this,A Campbell needs to answer why is he allowing british passport holders play for zim,and not only him
but Chingoka and Bvute as well.
Sanchez unless you were immigration or the police or somebody with a vested interest at national team selection I don't know why you would attempt to make moral judgments on the issue of citizenship.

Should we be angry and resentful that other citizens have the privilege of dual citizenship while we do not, rather than focusing unjust and dogmatic system that doesn't allow for such.

Look at how you can improve the lot of your family, instead of making life tougher for your neighbour so that you can all suffer the same.

When shit hits the fan in your country wouldn't you be grateful to have a second option, simply for the reason that you are not the politician or government who created the chaos currently in place.

Haven't many of us migrated to different countries - many whites to England, Australia; many blacks to England, more blacks still to South Africa - because the country has proven hostile to its own citizens.

Have you the actual facts that may have prompted Raza to actually leave his country and make Zimbabwe his home? Why be hostile on a minority people who chose to make us their home when other countries elsewhere have embraced millions of us all at once.

This is not a moral question, or patriotism even. It is simply common sense. And for many the human race (who in this case may not include Raza) its survival mode kicking in

If Raza is committed to Zimbabwean cricket and want to play for us he should. Remember he came to Zimbabweam cricket well before all of this extra money came pouring in so we know he is not just an opportunist looking for big money. I don't see what the issue is here. If he is eligible, willing, and committed he should be allowed to be considered for national honours.
