Scorecards below

Names that stood out to me

E Bawa - Prodigious talent who scored a century at the last U19's WC

Gratitude Jaya - Played for the Patriots in the NPL

Brian Bunnett - Top scored for Easterns

Dylan Nzvenga - IIRC he scored a double ton in South Africa at a school boy carnival last year

Ross Mills - His name popped up on the forum after scoring a double ton for his school

Saxton Petican - Apparently he's only 15 or 16? Played in the NPL as well

IIRC the only name there that was at the last WC was Bawa, this would suggest the expectations for the next edition in 2022 would be low, especially when you consider a few of the guys will likely be 16 or 17.

Any idea if Streak's son Harry is still in the country and if he is still playing cricket? He should have been around the U19s this time around if he was playing...

Is there a better name in cricket than Saxon Pettican?

The Bennet twins have played Zim age group for years and they still can't spell their names
Bawa is here because of Covid, otherwise he'd be at school in Eastbourne.
The U19 WC is early Jan 2022 and he'll be facing the same decision as Muyeye- to either focus on his looming exams or to take more than a month off for the WC. I don't know how academic he is, Muyeye is a boffin and was doing some high powered A levels that required lots of work to get a good enough result to get Uni entry.
If he's doing a sports diploma, which is not as taxing then I'm sure he'll be available.

Anyone else we can get excited about Googly?

Dare I ask anyone bowlers with some pace?

I haven't seen too many of these guys, but I'd be surprised if anyone is quicker than Daniel Erasmus. At the T20's last year he was the quickest bowler on display and was only 15/16. I bumped into him the other day and he'd grown a foot and really filled out so I'm sure he will be even quicker.
He's a multi talented kid as well, brilliant rugby and hockey player, and an A star student.

I'd like to have seen Petican Saxton's innings- 26 off 62 not out chasing 230 and they ended on 180 and they were clearly giving everyone a bowl so he'd have had a lot of loose deliveries.
