The three stand out players have been Sauramba, Nherera & Kasuza. All born and bred Manica's. Last year it was Chitara - what''s happening out there in the east? Whatever it is; it's a credit to all concerned.

Zimbabwe U/19 outplayed again
4th ODI
Zimbabwe 152 all out
M.Bentley 82 (Man of Match)
South Africa 153 for 3 after 33
R.Kaia 3 for 23 of 8

I would beg to differ with Robin on the best performing players. M. Bentley is the highest run scorer and C.Price has taken more double the wickets of anyone else. These are both St George's boys both more in the North of the country. For Robins information on last years tour Chitara was not the leading wicket taker either it was in fact C.Price followed by N. Waller

In fairness Cock when I posted Bentley had only scored 18 runs in the series. Well batted him today (he also bowled well on the recent U17 tour to RSA). I agree Callum Price has bowled well and has potential.

The purpose of my post was to point how well the 3 Manica's were doing. Has there ever been 3 boys from Mutare in a Zim U19 team before? Additionally they have all performed well. Credit where credit is due.

With regard to Chitara - anybody who watched all the U19 World Cup matches will be aware of how well he bowled and he did look, as a prospect, head and shoulders above the rest of the squad, regardless of his stats. His performances subsquently have supported this opinion.

I think it's good that all the regions of Zimbabwe are producing fine players, it would be good to see players also coming from Masvingo, Kew Kwe and Gweru, or would you like to see the team derived from players purely from your alma mater?
