This was always going to be the problem with all these big name appointments. Is their heart really in it? Or are they just using this opportunity to boost their CVs?? Donald has been commentating on the SA vs Ind series, not really the sort of commitment you would expect from the head coach of a professional side.

That said, I'm quite sure his talents will be missed. By all accounts AD is an excellent bowling coach, and has worked in this role for England and Warwickshire. His experience of playing under Woolmer for such a successful SA side would also have meant that he would have had a lot to pass onto the Mountaineers players in terms of preparation, skills, and mental approach. Someone like Gary Brent simply won't have this same level of expertise, so this move is a shame, especially coming in the middle of a season. How long before the other foreigners involved (Gillespie, Harris, etc.) get offered something else and move on?

Gillespie was already offered a coaching role with the Aussie cricket team as bowling coach but said he would only go back if the offer was good as he is enjoying his stint as rhinos coach immensely.

funny thing about jason gillespie is he is quarter aboriginie and grew up in the outback.

Hes probably the only one i can think of that fits that bill.

Might be why he likes the midlands so much.
