In a few hours U2 will be rocking Joburg!!! Since I couldn't go I got hold of Bono and he said "This one is for Madiba" but he promised 2 dedicate the tracks below to Zimbabwe at the Cricket World Cup. He will obviously be rooting for Ireland in Group A and has a soft spot Zimbabwe so will be rooting for Zimbabwe! He had this to say about each track;

(1) Elevation - the boys have to elevate their game big time!

(2) Desire - Its every Zimbabweans desire for the boys to bring home the "Silver and Gold" world cup

(3) With or Without you - Yeah Sean Erv, abandoned ship but you can do without him

(4)Beautiful Day - The day when you walk away with the world cup

(5)Paint it Black - The black arm bands obviously had no effect, but aim big this time around, paint EVERYTHING black and really mourn the death of democracy

(6) One - We are one but we're not the same we get to carry each other, no black no white

(7)City of Blinding Lights - I will make a personal appeal to ZESA to keep electricity on throughout the WC

(8) The Saints are coming - The whole nation are looking to you to bring the silverware home.

(9) In a little While - You will be crowned champions!

(10) Black Sunday - When Zim beat Kenya and Aus are knocked out in the first round!

This our secret all along the Saffers wont really know who I am talking about during the show. Go Zimbabwe.

PS He will close the show with a cover of Bob Marleys Zimbabwe!

They covered it. I was looking for the theme song to the oldies TV Series Tour of Duty, and found the U2 cover as well. I love covers. The original is still the classic though.
