Brilliant talent.Coached him for a year in which he scored more than 1000plus runs and only got dismissed for the first time after scoring close to 600runs in that season .5 of those hundreds came in that year including 170* in a 20 over game. Wish him well in future endeavours

Re: Liam Mudenda
I remember seeing his name last year
Will be keen to see how he progresses, as Zimdoggy always said, we want them to be good, but not too good other wise they’ll be lost to Zim.
Wes = good
Muyeye = too good
Burl = good
Byrom = too good
Get the idea

Thanks for taking note of that concept. I didn’t know if people absorbed it, but it’s so important.
Basically you’re looking at Brendan Taylor as the perfect eprioke of the model of player that’s really good but not too good to be lost to Zim.
If young Taylor was even 2% better, he would have had a lot of options.... who’d he’s as fans don’t want.
Also in regards to this kid, I don’t want to zoimd negative, because all those centuries against anyone shows a lot of discipline and skill, but like Googly used to say, how good is the attack he is facing if cricket is struggling for players??? If it’s very ordinary, we might not be getting the true litmus test here of his good he is.

Re: Liam Mudenda
I think its very clear he is good enough to dominate age group cricket (Under 14).The best way to judge him is to hopefully see him in a Under 19 team in the near future.
If he is too good he may be lost to us like the Ballance , Muyeye, Welch,Currans et al
Hope fully he is Taibu good or Taylor good

Re: Liam Mudenda
If he’s 14 now that means he’ll be 15 next year, point being Wes Madhevere went to the 2016 U19s WC as a 15-year old.
If he’s that good I’d assume he will be at next years World Cup

Re: Liam Mudenda
I think Sam Curran had about 12 or 13 hundreds too a a 13 year old? He's probably too good for us...
Re: Liam Mudenda
In that article where he is 11 he’s already saying he wants to go to England
He’s gone IMO.

Re: Liam Mudenda
Did not realise that Muyeye has signed for Kent.
So now we actively have guys being born and growing up in Zim who want to play for England. Surely the best way to "stick it to the colonial masters", would be to keep the talent and then beat them at their own game.

Re: Liam Mudenda
He already has his mind set on opening for England in the Ashes series in 2030 This the challenge that we face,i am guessing he might be too good for us,I remember it used to be the White boys with British heritage switching alliance, now even Kids from Dzivaresekwa and Chitungwiza want to play for England
