Attacking spinners

Who are the attacking spinners in the country
would you say
Cremer, Mushangwe, Mutombodzi?
Even Kamungozi?

We all know that Cremer is injured but If Zimbabwe are not getting big totals then the metranomic spinners we currently employ are rendered redundant, Would you advocate giving one of the others a shot against New Zealand. Apparently Mushangwe can turn the ball a fair bit, Would the selectors be brave enough to pick him for Utseya?

Ja, Mushangwe should get into the mix some time soon. The question is, who will make way? Can't give Utseya the boot, he's been performing well and has been unlucky to be overlooked for the Test XI. Can't give Razor the boot he's our best bowler. So I really can't see him playing unless maybe if there is an injury...

Tough one, before we speak of those on the sidelines we still need to solve the Price Utseya Creamer equation, now that we have pace only a max of two and possibly one on pacey tracks. Good problems ahead...

It is a genuine problem as ATM we have competent spinners, but they aren't wicket takers, see below.

Price: price is only good because he can bowl at a 5 cent coin and hit it everytime. He sets his field so that the batsman can not score of him without going for a slog. It actually amazes me that price has done so well, because he literally has NO bag of tricks, just dead accuracy, this will stop runs, but will never get a good batsman out unless the batsman is irrational. That's why a figure of 1-39 is so common of price in an ODI. He won't be as effective in tests I believe.


Prosper: in the early days he was more price like but these days turns it a little bit more, hence why he's slightly more expensive now but gets a few mire wickets than he used to, regardless, he still doesn't have much variation and is very much a run restrictor.

Lamb: lamb goes for it, but the man is a batsman turned part time bowler and is exceeding his own potential - I'm proud of what he's done with the ball..... But we can't expect lamb to be the saviour here.

Cremer: he's our best bet, unlike the above... He does have a bag of tricks, he can google, has a flipper..... However he doesn't turn the ball alot and is more a cheap kumble than Shane warne. I think it's because he runs in too quick and has a very high action designed for accuracy so as to not leak runs. He is still more expensive than the above but I always feel as if he can get a wicket with any ball..... I've never seen him in the test arena so perhaps he will slow the Runup down and tweak a few more revs on the cherry, regardless one fact remains in my humble opinion....

What Malcolm Waller like, i have never seen him bowl but he is ment to be a bit of an all-rounder, is there anything there that we could work with? His Batting hasn't been that great so far and he doesn't seem to bowl mmuch either

Price has a pretty good average for a so called defensive spinner. I mean there aren't a whole lot of international spinners who average less than his 35. But I think Cremer is a solid prospect as well.
