Player Ratings - NZ vs Zim Test

What can I say, with an Australian and an Indian marking out the their respective countries' players, and remaining unhindered by neither emotion nor sentiment, I was inspired to follow suit!

Seeing as today is officially the last day of the Test match, now would be the right time:
4
Regis - best player for Zim. Would've gotten a 5, but came in at a time when the damage was already done. Faced mostly NZ's least experienced bowlers, while the others were rested. Faced relaxed bowlers, and was aided by McCullum's questionable tactics - much to the annoyance of the commentators! Still a job well done!

2
Shingi - On debut, he bowled well initially, under testing circumstances. Did well to kickstart ZImbabwe's charge. The rest was utter crap!

1
Waller - He's over 27 yrs old, and in no way a novice in the international circuit having playing 21 ODI matches to date. With 40 FC matches, coming in at six, he should've done more!
Cremer - bowled rubbish, but did get two wickets with it, including a good one of fellow spinner Vettori, but his batting made it easier to elevate him above zero.
Hami - got a pair. Were it not for his bowling, countless records would've been broken i.e. all 4 frontline bowlers conceding over 150 runs. Still, his atrocious batting meant anything above 1 would've been generous.
Jarvis - should've gotten zero, but bowled the most overs, worked hard albeit totally ineffective

0
Tino - is he transferring his domestic form to the international circuit?
Mutizwa - Made to debut at first drop, was he sabotaged? Either way, that was pathetic!
Taibu - More was expected, he let himself and the team down. Considering he has a big mouth, he should know this is just the kind of performance the administrators need to get rid of him.
Vitori - Pakistan gave an idea of what was to be expected of him in future Tests. This match has the Bangladeshis wishing their next visit to HSC was starting on Thursday!
Taylor - Poor on-field captaincy, poor batting, should've come in at three instead of Mutizwa. He was poor, but has got all the qualities to bounce back, something which cannot be said of a lot of other players in this list.

"The stumps have asked for pads." - Kerry O'Keeffe on radio when Rahul Dravid walked out to bat in the second innings at Adelaide Oval, having been bowled six times in seven innings so far in the series.

Man these are harsh. Whenever I do these player ratings things I get alot of stick for not rating everyone 7 and above. Still, I think after a performance like we have just seen, your ratings seem pretty accurate.

Fair enough. May be 4.5 for Chakabva, but that's where they are.

Missed this one CrimsonAvenger!

Think about it, Chakabva got 60odd runs@over 50SR. Had Waller gotten in, your money would've been on him getting double what Chakabva got! With that in mind, I'd say we should be careful just how highly we rate Regis' innings. Under those circumstances, Waller would've been cruising! So of all our batsmen, I think Waller should be kicking himself the most because he missed out on getting a futile but big score that would've really secured his position, considering the competition and that the senior(undroppable) players failed!
