[Match Thread] Rocks vs Mountaineers (Logan Cup)

Match delayed, wet outfield.

I'm glad to see young Calum Price around. Was the best bowler for the Eagles in his last Logan Cup match against the mighty Rhinos. Hope he's handled much better than Jarvis, we need all the young promising fast bowlers to get all the FC experience they can before being sacrificed at international level. Been long since he last played a FC match. Only match, so must take the new ball so we can see how good he is.

You know what maehara, I could've sworn this is no error! All the squads, a few current stats for the listed key players that I checked (links to Garwe, Price & Hondo etc) - it was all Eagles. Cricinfo is messing with my head!

Wonder if anyone else noticed that it was set to Eagles initially!

Never trust a Cricinfo squad list when it's a Zim domestic match.. :)

Just as the Rhinos attack struggles whenever Rainsford is not there, the Rocks are suffering in the absence of Panyangara. A lot of this mirrors performance of our national team which for the most part has been led by Vitori&Jarvis - with Mpofu mostly in the backseat(or Chigumbura being the sideshow as well on occasion). As these two franchises have experienced at times, we've also been virtually rendered leaderless most of the time at international level! Even Tiripano is edging closer to a ton!

Congratulations to Maruma for such a fine knock. Was hoping he made it to 150. Well batted. With such encouraging form with the bat this season, only his bowling is preventing the selectors from thinking beyond Cremer&Mushangwe.

The goats declare at 412/9. Tiripano unbeaten on 102!

Congratulations on your maiden century Donald! This boy has done well with the ball. Factor in this century and I think he just got a call up to one of the large camps or tour games!

I'll be hoping the Rocks get more than 200 in their 1st innings!

maruma used to be a fine turner of the ball and took hatfulls of wickets circa 2007/08

then he concentrated on his batting

Even Tiripano is scoring a ton against us. Woe is Rocks.
