Re: Zimbabwe v Sri Lanka - ODI Series
I am glad to see Zimbabwe is coming close to win in the previous 2 onedays.Zimbabwe should improve their middle order batting.I dont know why Sean Williams is coming in the 7th spot or missed out the previous match. He should come at no 3 position.I am impressed with Hamilton Masakadza,Tawanda Mupariwa,Tatenda Taibu,Raymond Price.Stuart Matsikenariya should miss out as he is out of form and only averages 20 playing 78 ODI!Thats not good at all at this level.
This will be the best Zimbabwe 11 in the 5th ODI:
1.Vusimuzi Sibanda
2.Hamilton Masakadza
3.Sean Williams
4.Tatenda Taibu(WK)
5.Keith Dabengwa
6.Justice Chibhabha
7.Elton Chigumbura
8.Prosper Utseya(capt)
9.Raymond Price
10.Tawanda Mupariwa
11.Edward Rainsford.

Re: Zimbabwe v Sri Lanka - ODI Series
Well, we have a lot to look forward to today. Hopefully another fighting effort by the boys is on the cards. Mendis has 48 wickets from 17 matches, and could become the fastest to 50 wickets in ODIs. Competition aside, whenever he gets it, he deserves it. He is already a role model for Sri Lankans to follow. He has just gone out there and taken wickets for his team, without any fuss. There are others these days who take the wicket of a Tendulkar or a Ponting and go gaga all over the press. This man has been a silent performer.
Mupariwa has 48 wickets from 27 games, which is not too bad in itself. One wonders why he was not a certainty in the side as soon as Brent left. Will he become the fastest Zimbabwean to 50 wickets in ODIs if he gets there today?
Anyway, all the best to these two and the teams. Lets have another cracker...

Well, we already see that SL are one up on strategy. Jayawardene, one of the better players of spin, has come to open the innings. Clearly to handle the situation of Utseya opening the bowling, if it happens.
No Williams today too. I fear the worst.
Ah, good that Utseya has noticed this and has opened with Mupariwa.

Sangakkara dropped on 0! This could be costly!
Could have been Mupariwa's 50th wicket
