DLS target after 20 overs with 1 down will be about 83 I think. 2 down will be 97.

Still sunny but my forecast is saying 100% chance of rain at 3pm!

After being at a Boxing Day test this year. The crowd here sounds so good. Hopefully we can keep produce the goods.
Not a bad start

Kaia really struggling out there

For the record, I’m not writing off Marumani, but with only 4 more ODI innings before the qualifiers I’m not sure their best spent on hoping he’ll come good.
Who do you think would be best to partner Kaia at the top?
Ahh man who knows, I honestly still think one of Ballance or Ervine needs to open if I’m honest. Kaia, Ballance, Ervine & Williams needs to be the top 4. Leave Raza and Burl at 5 & 6 and Madande at 7 I guess.

Yeah that's a fair take, I was thinking Ervine was the man even though it seems a little unfair on him. Leaving my slight Chibhabha bias aside which wouldn't be popular, I think the other option (if he is available) is Chakabva. He can definitely offer a bit at the top with the bat, but gives some real balance to the middle order by allowing the other players to bat in their preferred places (or close to it).

Chamu still looks clueless against spin, only a matter of time till McBrine gets him out

Which would be a disaster. We are ahead of the DLS score and the rain is very close. Losing a wicket now would be critical to the calculation. He just has to stay in at any cost now.

Yeah if Regis was here he’s be opening & they could play Burl at No.7 and keep that strong middle order. That’s why I suggested the other day that Madande might get fried up top at some point too.

Hopefully someone has told them what the required DLS score is, I remember PJ Moor batting with the paper in his pocket v UAE in 2019
