Vusi made exactly the same mistake as Dabengwa, going by the commentary. Hey, we haven't had a Zimbabwe Collapse(tm) for a while, may as well get it out of the way now...

13-2 whats happening....We should win this regadless, -
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today

Time to jettison dabengwa for good now selectors. Why not give someone like prince masvaure a go. he can bat and bowl and did ok in those Matches against pakistan academy. He is a left hand batsman and bowler too
Re: Match Thread: Kenya v Zimbabwe, 5th ODI
i would rather go with staddon or solomon mire

Well done to Masakadza, he has now joined the band of Zimbabweans having scored 1500 ODI runs.
The 16 strong list includes current players Taibu, Chigumbura, Matsikenyeri and Sibanda with another man who, hopefully, will play a big part in the future, now who could that be ?

Brendan Taylor of course
And to the comment above, yeah I would go with a Staddon or a Nyamuzinga before someone like Prince Masvaure. Masvaure should be more of a development player, give him a few years in the A team and the occasional Select XI match before throwing him into the deep end IMO.

Firstly, I feel honoured and would consider it as one the greatest successes of my life that ZC has considered the suggestion I made here a week ago, of playing Dabengwa as an opener
And I knew the results would not be too much to write home about, but didn't expect such a catastrophe!
As for replacement, why not Chakabva as a specialist batsman? The reason I say this is, performances of our last 4 ODI debutants have been very impressive: Chakabva, Waller, Cremer and Mr.Cricket Mutizwa . Compare them to the 4 who came in before them, and you would know.
And why, oh why is Matsikenyeri playing well again today?
