Zimbabwe Emerging Tour of South Africa

Post by zimfan1 »

on Thursday.

ZIMBABWE EMERGING MEN’S SQUAD:

Akram Faraz, Bennett Brian, Campbell Johnathan, Chivanga Tanaka, Gumbie Joylord, Jongwe Luke. Kaia Roy, Madande Clive, Madhevere Wessly, Makoni Tanunurwa, Marumani Tadiwanashe, Mavuta Brandon, Munyonga Tony, Nyauchi Victor, Shumba Milton
No real issues with the squad, thought Brad Evans may have been included. Not sure why Kaia is in there.

Good Squad, all fringe players are in there. I think Evans is not included because they consider him as main stream anyways.

Selection is fine.

Why aren’t they just calling it Zim A?

I’m assuming it’s because we are playing shit opposition? Anyone know who the fixtures are against?

But they’ve picked Jongwe

He must be injured surely

Yeah, Jongwe somehow gets in everywhere 😁

But still great to see Bennett in there. Will be good experience also for Madhevere, Shumba and the likes.

Does this also mean Dion Myers has once again made himself unavailable???

Edit: I'm not very sure about having Faraz Akram in there, he doesn't really offer much and I don't think he can make the national team anyways.

Emerging sounds better than Zim A when they get smashed 5-0.

Kaia
Jongwe

Dodgy photos, irons in fires and fingers in pies old Luke.

Something about him though, he’d make my side.

You're all being very harsh on Luke. He's a talented player and has some bottle, some grit. Something we're radically missing in the new generation of players.
Plus he takes wickets

I'm a huge fan. But he's hardly 'emerging' is he? Significantly more experience than Evans, and yet Evans doesn't make the squad? I can only assume he must be injured. If not it's a silly selection.
