Very sad news. For those of us who grew up in the 90s following Zimbabwe, it was always a toss up between Streak and Andy Flower as to who the favourite player was.

Very sad, apart from being a (rare for Zimbabwe) on field legend, he bled for Zimbabwe as a country and did everything he could for cricket in Zimbabwe.

Not many ex players with unlimited options like him gave as much as he did to Zim. Most ran.

Rest in Peace Streaky. Terrible news to wake up to. A world class cricketer, one of the world's best at his time, will go down in history as one of the best to have played the game. His contributions to Zimbabwe cricket are second to none.

May God give strength to his family to overcome this loss.

What an extremely sad news to wake up to. It felt inevitable over the last few months with the information trickling in, but still, the man who I idolized growing up. This is very painful news personally.
