Can someone explain the thinking behind Carl Mumba My understanding is he's fine but not exceptional? Has he done something specifically to charm selectors, or is it purely international game time over some of the younger guys?

No idea really. He’s not great and hasn’t done anything special recently but There’s not many other options.

Nyauchi has gone off the boil. Chivanga hasn’t taken his chances. Evans and Blessing injured.

Gwandu had a good NPL but like Musekiwa his franchise record is quite poor so needs to do it at that level before being called up probably.

This sporadic pick up of 2020/21 players who have a had a game and didn't perform seems very strange.

Can someone explain why Shumba wasn't picked, and in the same light, why pick Ndlovu when the likes of Mavuta, who is a proven performer, is nowhere to be seen? For a period it really seemed as though the Welly/Mavuta spot was competitive before Mavuta fell off the map.
