Plenty of guys with multiple seasons of county cricket under their belt have played Zim domestic over the last couple of years and with the exception of Compton in the Logan Cup none of them have close to this level of domination. Patrick Rowe who was Aus-19 player a few years ago and a first grader in Melbourne is also with the Rhinos and he only managed a 6 ball duck in the last game he played. Obviously the standard isn’t that high but this is still a ridiculously good run of form.
This is true. Funny enough Compton started with a bang when he went back too.

Compton was awesome to watch, a top professional. He may not be back this season but I appreciate what he has done for Zim cricket.

The best part of his stay was how he turned Gumbie into a decent opening batsmen. Joylord Gumbie, a guy most of us thought was never going be good enough.

I really do wish him well, probably the most respect I have for a none Zimbabwean.

Probably taught him how to build an innings. Something that's not that common for Zim players besides the big 3.

Two of the big three come out swinging (or sweeping) from ball one, the third could “build” for a week and just pass 50.

Gumbie took Compton’s lesson and ran with it. Did wonders for his game having a partner like old Compton come over and talk him through it in the middle as it was happening.

Not FOR australia. Knackerville is nowhere near that good enough, I absolutely promise you

But I mean IN australia. Why hasn’t he played Shield, or heck, even 1st Grade cricket?!?!
He’s played 1st grade in Adelaide and done okay, made some 100s.

Flying is my second love after cricket, soaring high up in the sky has made me believe not even the sky is the limit. If you believe in your dreams you can soar high too🙏.
