Zimbabwe vs Ireland | 3rd T20I | 10 December 2023

May as well start it here, any news on Williams? Mavuta is a safe addition to the side, with Gwandu likely taking a cut for Munyonga. Marumani needs to be axed but injuries might not make that possible. Best with what we've got:

1. Marumani
2. Madhevere
3. Kamunhukamwe
4. Burl (c)
5. Madande (wk)
6. Munyonga
7. Bennett
8. Jongwe
9. Mavuta
10. Ngarava
11. Blessing

Without Williams and raza it's going to be difficult to win the game. Hopefully Williams is fit. my 11 without Williams
Klong
Marumani
Madhevere
Munyonga
Bennet
Burl
Madande
Jongwe
Mavuta
Ngarava
Muzarbani.
If Williams is fit he replaces marumani in my 11

I hope Williams plays. Important to win this series and then the ODI one as well, cannot afford to lose more at international level.

If Williams is Injured then there is no choice but to play Marumani. If Williams plays then Munyonga should come in for Maru and I'll stick with Bennett. Mavuta in for Gwandu.

I'm not that fussed by the result today, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. Just want to see some of the young batters put there hands up. I would leave Marumani out if possible.

On another note, I feel Richie has stepped up as one of the leaders of the side, the go to bowler in all situations, loves the battle and often performs. His growth from that 18 year old who didn't jump in his delivery stride bowling in Bangladesh and getting smashed has been remarkable. Still only 25!

Important for confidence yes but not that important in reality. We are rebuilding the side and looking ahead to be competitive in three years time. Pressure is off in many ways.

Richie is the man.

In some ways snuck under the radar to become our best bowler while everyone was riding the Muzarabani train. That’s no slight on old Blessing, he is a fine bowler but he’s certainly down the pecking order now.

Richie will get an IPL gig. Mark these words.

Certainty a better bowler than blessing. Starting to come round the wicket is another edge to his game, has the wood over Stirling at the moment and he is a quality batter.

Think he is off to the BPL next year. Good on him.

Good on him indeed. Landing these franchise gigs is the measure of your stock and Richie’s is sky high.

Blessing hasn’t really done anything wrong either. Got injured and stagnated a bit which can happen. Hopefully he can kick on too and we’ll get many great years out the pair of them.
