Suits me yo  enables us to speculate how Jongwe would have made a blistering ton and dug us out this hole.

Not just needed for the purposes of saving our cricketing blushes.

Rain is genuinely very welcome currently! The farmers will be relieved

As I said the other day if Raza doesn’t score runs then we lose.

Doesn’t really matter which batters we pick, how many, or what order they are in.
Pretty much this.
And very concerning that he is at the age most players retire or are about to retire.
And imo he has never truly proven himself as being anything other than an associate basher (which he does very well).

I think that’s harsh considering he’s played and done well in every league around the world.
Century against India last time we played them.

Has had good test knocks over the years too etc.

Not sure .if gumbie is suited for Odis . Stalling wicket doesn't work in Odis anymore this will only put pressure on other batters .and as I type Raza is gone
At the moment it's better than Wes getting a 10 ball 6. I think if you have an aggressive opener working with him like what K-Long did it's ok. You need an end which is safe. Today the openers got 56 off 74 balls which is not bad when you see we are 120 something for 6
All the Irish have to do to get KLong out is bowl spin up front

Burl is the one who caused chaos today. It wasn't extremely bad before those 2 deliveries.

With the 5 bowlers they clearly backed Mavuta and he repaid them. Its not an easy fix because there is every chance a Shumba or Munyonga gets a duck then adds nothing to the game after that.
So why pick them in the squad ? What is the benefit in having players in the squad that you dont trust ? I've never in my life seen a 5 batsman line up unless there are genuine allrounders in the team.

Now I understand why Ervine and Williams will be needed even at 40, for 2027. Unless Zimbabwe unearth some really good talents.
They don't play them anyway

It’s 6, not 5. And Jongwe and Mavuta have first class centuries
