Now it looks like they're having their North vs South thing between Xmas and New Year. How do they spring that on everyone with a few days to go? People have Xmas plans.

Please don't tell me these are national trials for the SL tour?
What format will it be?
If its 4 day when we're going on a white ball tour it would be funny.
Does that mean 15 slots are up for grabs? Surely they've got their squad?
The only question is why aren't they in training?
This has been a mind boggling week

It’s been the best week ever; strippers, guys busted smoking reefer  just what we needed after the disappointment of recent weeks.

What is apparent is that DH did not in fact have much say over selection, despite statements to the contrary by the mouthpiece.
I'm not sure Mutendira has either. He'd select a banana if he was told to. So who's pulling the strings?
Maybe Lord M can enlighten us.
How can a coach not have much say on selection , it's his job on the line after all isn't it. Not surprised it went pair shape then , I wouldn't be taking on a coaching job without having a big say on selection

Apparently they might be canning the first one on the 26th.

Players apparently grumbling about short notice and Christmas.

Well it's ridiculous, it's essentially a last second trials game because everything is upside down. Pure panic.
What happens if a couple of guys we know won't cut it make some runs, or the guys we are hoping will front up get 2 low scores?

I’d like to know who initially thought it was a good idea to ask players - with a weeks notice - to be in Bulawayo for a 9am start on Boxing Day.

It’s a great idea. Some punters will still be there from the night before and the dancing girls can get a side gig as cheerleaders.

Christmas is no excuse, I’d be raging if it is canned.

This is what I'm talking about. The genius that dreamt this up shouldn't have anything to do with admin or planning. If they need to look after him just pay him to stay away. If he comes within 1km of a cricket ground he gets sacked. It would be a fine start. A GPS ankle bracelet would also be money well spent.
