Feel like there's a high chance we lose both series 3-0, but let's see.

It's being broadcast on Supersport btw.

Pathum Nissanka is ill and is ruled out of ODI Series, still I don't see much of a chance against a very strong Sri Lankan side. Zimbabwe likely to lose all the games, even one win will be a big plus for me.

The pitch is expected to be slow and low, which could actually be a good thing for Zimbabwe.

100% they will lose all games , something extraordinary would need to happen to win one game.

A couple of years ago, you were one of the most optimistic posters on ZCF...seems like ages ago with the contrast with your recent posting tone.

At any rate, I think results are of secondary importance to "the process". Its important to use every match against a top 10 team to gauge which players can compete. Rather than focus on who won or lost (yes, obviously its important at the international level), what we should be looking at is can xzy player bat with a coherent gameplan? Is his technique suitable to the conditions at hand or conditions found back home in ZIM? Does he seem to have a hunger for runs? Does xyz bowler have a plan to set bowlers up? Is he at least keeping the scoring down if not picking wickets? Does he seem to be improving his action?

Those are the KPIs here IMO. The emphasis should be on gradually weeding out players who don't have the necessary skill and/or the mindset to succeed at this level.

Craig Ervine needs to step up big time over the next 2 weeks. A lot of eyes will be on him in terms of mindset and hunger for more. If he looks like he is just playing for a paycheck then we got to ask ourselves what is the point.

Ngarava too. Big tour for him. He played in the LPL so he will be identified as a threat. Interesting to see how he does. I would say this is his first major tour as a key player
