I guess the one positive we can take out of this game so far as all 4 white players in the squad are playing, hopefully this means race isnt an issue now? I hope so, however i feel the best 11 should play no matter what, black or white.

I hope we can now take this stance, it is so important to the overall integrity of the game in zimbabwe and all over the world.

I was wondering why 4 white players were in the team. I didn't think that was allowed anymore. Maybe the quota only applies to full international matches.

Zimbabwe should have batted better against this 4th string Pakistan side. Yet again some strange selections such as leaving out Terry Duffin who is the one player capable of playing long innings and not just a quick cameo.

Hopefully things will improve as this match progresses. It is important that Zimbabwe shows the world that they are capable of being somewhat competitive outside of Africa. A miserable tour to Pakistan wont help in the mission to return to full-Test status.

Patrons XI 1/208. It's okay, the longer the Patrons XI bat the more chance there is of a draw!

I think a draw would be a good result at this stage! Yet again Dabengwa has done little with bat or ball. Why is he always in the team?!

Draw is not assured yet. We trail by 200 odd with 8 wickets in hand. If anything, I'd say a loss is the most likely result at the moment.

Taylor (opening?) out for 4, LBW. Clearly it was a dodgy umpiring decision

Loss is now imminent. 6/111.

Keith Dabengwa might be in the team as a specialist fielder?
KM Dabengwa lbw b Sohail Khan 0 1 ball 1 min (0 s/r)
But let's not single him out (although we should, no other play has been so bad and managed to stay in the team so long)

Some less than useful contributions came from the bats of:
BRM Taylor lbw b Samiullah Khan 4 15 balls 9 min (44.44 s/r)
SC Williams c Naumanullah b Sohail Khan 4 37 balls 17 min (23.52 s/r)

I think that Chibhabha will definetly have to come back into the squad for the 1st one day international for dabengwa and obviously utseya for Maruma.
I dont know why the selectors have perservered with Dabengwa for so long, He is a very Mediocre player at international level. If Feel that maybe the selectors have cottoned on to the idea that in a lot of international line-ups there is a healthy mix of right-hand, Left-hand batsmen as it puts bowlers off their lines if they rotate the singles effectively.
If this is the case why not give duffin a go, The man has done nothing wrong at first class level his last match playing for the provinces he almost got a century and was then dropped for the next game!!!!!
Sibanda though a good one day player has not exelled in first class matches and should be replaced in the four day games.
I feel that of the players coming through kasteni+ chakabva have a big zim future only not quite yet..They are still very raw and must have plenty of domestic games first.
In australia a lot of the newer test players have played around 150-200 first class games before they make their test debut
