Has Mangongo cooked his goose?

Post by Googly »

Not sure if they will manage to keep a lid on this but Mangongo grabbed one of our national players by the throat in the change rooms and kicked him in the groin (or attempted to). The guy's father is in the police force and is intent on taking the matter further, but ZC are frantically trying to keep the whole thing hush hush. Apparently the guy was supposed to convey a message to the players on the field and Steve accused him of not doing so and accosted him in the change rooms and lost his temper. Not sure of the exact details yet but do know that this definitely did happen. It is going to be very interesting to see how this rolls out. It defies belief.

Most ZC staff (top administrators excluded) have been sent on 15 day forced unpaid leave. ZC are flat broke and can't pay a cent, except of course to the hierarchy. Dark days ahead.

****ing crazy bastard, if that's true. Just hope that the player's dad is high up enough in the police, or he'll probably get away with it.

The players really need to get some balls and take a stand.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

There is a white police officer here in this story http://www.swradioafrica.com/2011/11/16 ... day-party/

But anyhow, it is indeed most likely a black player. I always said Mangongo was a thug.

if the details (fully described but not fully known) are even remotely true ...this is very disappointing. One would have thought the days of so brazenly humiliating employees ended 30 odd years ago!!
