I see people are clamouring for Musekiwa to go straight into the national side on twitter. . That's dangerous. Boy has oodles of talent but needs to have many more matches and be more consistent. Eventually could be a major challenger to Jongwe and Evans. Blood him in the A side instead with one eye on 2026 20/20
Boy?????? He's a 31 year old man for goodness sakes, are you an England selector?
Cricinfo has his profile wrong. He is about 24-26, not 31.

There's just no way Bennett, Marumani, Munyonga, Mufudza, or Madande are better T20 batters than Welch, its a joke that hes sitting out, he's just had a terrible season, but he'll come good. They seem happy to hamstring a quality player, what's going on there?
I agree on Welch’s quality but to be fair it’s difficult to pick a guy who has been so consistently poor for the past 6 months. What message does that send?

Surprised Mangongo Favourite Alastair Frost isn't in the squad
Is he a Mangongo favourite? Based on what?

He’s very keen on an Irish future from what I understand

Madande is in great form and really prospering as a captain. I rate him! Others don’t but he’s shown a maturity that most of our young players haven’t, multiple times. A very fine player.
Yeah Madande has actually done about as well as any young rookie can do. Rare feat in Zimbabwe.

The performances of a lot of players have been worth appretiating throughout this tournament. I know they are playing against no so strong sides but these lafs ate also not internationals, so this is very pleasing to see.

If Zimbabwe can unearth even 2-3 good players from here that can make the national side, it will be huge.

I'm highly impressed by the spinners in this tournament. Good to see some strong character from the lads knocking for national colors. Batting woes still remain though at every level. It's always dependance on a few middle order contributions every game.

Ya, that’s the takeaway from this tournament. Sure the opposition has hardly been top drawer but other than Madande, Marumani and Munyonga, this is basically a young inexperienced side who’ve given a good account of themselves. Plenty of potential to work with going forward.

Exactly
Hardly top draw but winning.

I still have hope for marumani. I feel he needs to get out of sun for a season and experience different bowling attacks.

Internationals or not this has been great
