Except they can't because this is Harare, not Colombo. Plus Herath is light years ahead in terms of quality compared to Utseya & Williams.lobsang wrote:Williams and Utseya can emulate what these two Sri Lankans did against South Africa.

The sooner the money dries up the better. Then the roaches will scurry away and cricket lovers can regain control.jimmylesaint wrote:Not even funny- Xmas next year Zim Cricket will be finished. Pretty clear the money won't dry up anytime soon. At any rate, lets see if the current contracts are seen through. If it is, it might lure the likes of Jarvis, C Ervine, and Cremer back.eugene wrote:The sooner the money dries up the better. If soon you mean before next Xmas then you'd be right. We'll struggle through until we get the TV rights to SA/Aussie- which will pay for a late starting shortened season. Then Feb world cup money will take us up to next year Xmas.Pretty clear the money won't dry up anytime soon. At any rate, lets see if the current contracts are seen through. If it is, it might lure the likes of Jarvis, C Ervine, and Cremer back.
Groundstaff haven't been paid yet for July- The cricketers are not covered healthwise according to the newspaper report, makes one wonder if ZC has paid up its' Employee Liability Insurance. The Byo court shows NSSA won it's claim against Tuskers/ZC so there goes $100k + court costs. Wonder if they forgot to pay NSSA or that money set aside for a statutory payment was used elsewhere????Say on a car or holiday- wander why no one has been fired for it?

Raza is out of the Test Match with a dislocated thumb

May be a blessing in disguise. It would have been a tough decision between him and Mark or him and Elton. The latter two definitely deserve a bit more than Raza. Mark through performance and Elton through potential at 6. But we definitely need him back for the ODIs
