Think todays win for Ireland is good news for us, potentially only need to win two games to qualify now and will make Pakistan and the West Indies very nervous, Ireland will be a very tough game though.....

The worry is both of them made 300 plus against weak bowling attacks

We'd better prepare ourselves to score well in excess of 300 if we want to win any matches.

Yeah, we may manage to beat UAE with less, but we will likely need a couple of 300+ efforts to progress.

The pitches are flat. Very good for batting. The teams that bat well will win.....

Not sure it is good for us to be honest. Now we have to beat both West Indies and Ireland...

Thats what i was thinking. Ireland are the team that worry most our of the associates. They could easily knock us over. The pressure is on us now more so to win our games against the associates.

Yeah, but until now the Ireland game wasn't a knockout game. We could afford to drop that one (which I think is highly likely - Ireland don't respect Zimbabwe, so jokers like Jeremy Bray come out swinging knowing they can get away with it) and still qualify by picking up points elsewhere.
Ireland have pulled the rug out from under us by banking those WI points now.
So the complexion has changed. If we lose the Ireland game we don't qualify as Ireland will beat UAE and have 3 wins, leaving Zimbabwe with most likely just 1 win (UAE) or optimistically 2 wins (if we beat say WI or Pak as well).

Yeah, I think the dynamics of this group will change with every match. Ireland's victory has made life more difficult for us. For what its worth, our last match vs India might become a must win game...
