Zimbabwe to host African T20 Qualifiers

Due to take place in September 2025.
I think this is more important than the result of the test. Playing at home particularly at HSC will allow us to produce good batting decks, always more vulnerable to an upset against the African sides on a slow wicket like we found in Namibia.

Can you please tell me the dates?
I need to know which days to take off work and to hold a party to watch Zimbabwe against Gambia and Lesotho

More important than a Test? Yes and no, IMO.
Beating Ireland/Afghanistan in a Test won't raise any eyebrows. On the flip side, losing to them won't raise any either. No one is gonna say "Zimbabwe should be stripped of their Test status" because of a loss to IRE or AFG.
But merely qualifying for a 20 team World Cup, also won't raise your profile...unless you're a team like Uganda or Qatar. Even Nepal, can't rely solely on qualifying for a WC to grab attention...they'd have to win at least 2 games against top 12 sides to do that. Kinda like Afghanistan and Netherlands in years before.
But yes, failing to qualify will be noticed, although it probably won't create much more than just a proverbial shoulder shrug.

Nothing to do about playing at the world cup. All about the money it brings!

Pffft Salisbury. Queque and Umtali are the places to be these days

good old fashioned cricket grounds.
No doubt old winstonians will get a slice of the pie
