Groups have been announced. Zimbabwe is grouped with Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Oman. Not the worst grouping avoiding the likes of SA, NZ and Afghanistan i can see a way through to the Super 8s

England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE, Canada

There's a chance Zimbabwe making it to the super 8s. Lets hope they have more games at the subcontintent before the WC.

I genuinely think we can repeat our heroics against SL because we somehow seem to stand up to their level (as long as Nissanka goes cheaply) and we can avoid the stumble against Oman, Ireland is the game I'm worried about most. Super 8 is actually on here.

This squad has an outside chance of making it to the semi finals

Zimbabwe are heavily reliant on Bennett and Raza to get bulk of the runs. Otherwise the batting is thin. Bowling is good, I hope Blessing will be back as well so bowling is good.

Ireland are a good side and SL will be playing at home, so it's not going to be easy by any means... Zimbabwe need to make sure they select the best players.

Unlikely but there is talk around that ICC could swap Bangladesh with Zimbabwe or another team in Group B so Bangladesh can play all their games in Sri Lanka.
