The proof will be in the pudding. These guys have had a lot of preparation. Maybe the most ever. Lots of games. Academy stints. Home conditions. If the selection is correct then the results should come. No excuses. Let's see.

Home advantage may save some blushes,
But make no mistake it’s a really poor selection from what is already a really poor talent pool.

What I find interesting is that Brandon Senzere and the Blignaut twins are only 17. In fact Kian was 16 when he got 47 against Scotland. Senzere had just turned 17 when he played Scotland. Serious talent there. I always say you only need 3 or 4 serious talents out of every u19 batch for it to be a success.

Webster Madhidi is even younger, I think.

But why didn't they consider Liam Mudenda when he was available?

You are right. Just looked him up. He turned 15 in September. Played against Bangladesh u19 when he was 14.

One can only assume he was unavailable. Surely?!?!
Maybe he didn’t want to play for the Chigumbura Wise Owl U19 XI.
