Deserves its own thread. Rain is going to ruin this World Cup.

Extremely frustrating when other games are going on.

This was the only game they really had a prospect of winning as well...

I disagree. I actually think we would struggle against this Scotland side on paper. Maybe home advantage would help, but otherwise no.

I think the powers that be will be pleased it’s raining and they are saving face.

In this weather where one big rain renders Takashinga unplayable for 2 days the possibility exists that virtually no games will be played there at all.

The extreme south of the country and north eastern SA (kruger park area) is literally underwater. Weve had rain and overcast conditions for weeks.
The forecast says another week, but it's easing up.

Come on... they definitely had "a prospect" of winning this one!

They have no prospect of beating Pakistan or England, although of course we would love it!

Scotland are decent, and they’ve picked their best available players. I certainly wouldn’t put money on Zim winning.

I don't know where the assumption comes from that we "should" beat Scotland. Those days are long gone.
Statistically we shouldnt beat anyone, we pick our team from one school, they pick theirs from 150 schools, plus their best boys are probably at schools in England playing a really good standard of cricket. Its a numbers game.
Im being facetious saying we pick from one school, its actually about 3 schools and our standard of school cricket is beyond woeful. We are literally in Kenya and Uganda territory statistically.
