In addition to dropping Mendis in 0 in the first test (he went on to get twin hundreds in each innings), the BD boys have dropped 3 catches already in Chittagong. And now this:
120.6 Khaled to Jayasuriya, no run
Another drop! Or drops I should say! This was the perfect execution of the plan, Jayasuriya goes hard at the drive and gets thick edge to first slip, who fumbles it juggling it around. The ball proceed to bounce around to to second slip and then third. But none of them are able to hold on! Unbelievable
3 more drops from a single delivery!

Relieved to see we're only 1 down at stumps. Past several years Bangladesh's habit has been to concede big totals on flat tracks. But then when they finally get to bat, they are usually 4 down inside the first 15 overs. Doesn't matter whether its seaming wicket or a turning one.

Surprising stat here. SL's total of 531 is the biggest without any batter reaching a hundred. However, the top 9 all got to 20, and the first 10 all got double digits. Astounding form. Or just a very flat wicket. Could be both.

Bottom line is Bangladesh have to bat with their A game. First job is to at least cross the follow on limit.

Bang bang for Bangladesh...two quick top order wickets.

On a pitch where even the Sri Lankan number 10 got to double figures, Shanto gets out for just 1. Absolutely garbage dismissal.

Bangladesh once again getting shredded. This is quite an abysmal performance.

Very disappointing. Obviously SL are better equipped for the conditions than say New Zealand. But still difficult pill to swallow if you’re a BD fan.

Bangladesh chasing a mountain (again).

19-0 after 4 overs. So far, no swing or seam. Not really sure why the batters have kept faltering on flattish wickets.

Stunning fielding by Sadeera at point. That ball had 4 written all over it!

Humiliating defeat for Bangladesh. This is a big set back for them considering they were looking good in recent times.

Bangladesh have tours of Pakistan and India next (after a tour of Afghanistan but they aren't in the WTC). They will need to do a serious re-think of their approach and strategy if they want to compete against those teams.

One of the things is, a guy like Shahadat Hossain got picked for the Test side and he only has a first class batting average of 35. In my opinion, given the weakness of our domestic leagues, a batter should only be picked if he has a career FC average over 40, or averages 60+ for a single season.
