Namibian cricketer Raymond Van Schoor has tragically passed away due to heat stroke whilst playing cricket, recasting news for the cricketing community. RIP

Only 25 years old as well, puts our concerns about losing a cricket match into context

I read it at first as heatstroke as well, the latest I've seen though is that he seems to have actually suffered a stroke, very unusual for one so young

I read stroke too. Stroke makes sense in terms of fatality.

I must be at risk of heatstroke every saturday if thats a real option. 43 degrees on saturday. Killed me.

Death from heatstroke is very possible. However van Schoor does seem to have suffered a stroke.

I got him out in 2012 :( He was on 30 and he looked class, until a seering Sloan yorker took out his leg stump

He was a really quiet man as well, very humble and down to earth. His brother is a good player as well, just a strange bloke..
